I paid good money for the version from the App Store. However, since upgrading to a new M1 Mac, the product is extremely buggy: colour swatches simply don't work; using the Marquee Tool makes the image vanish until released; constant screen flicker etc. So there is no upgrade path - how convenient for Adobe. There is no patch available for download. Only 'solution' - buy full version of PSE and suck it up. Personally I find the level of customer support is dismal, not to say non-existent.
